Art studied at Auburn University and served in the United States Coast Guard during the first Gulf War. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Peachtree City United Methodist Church, resides in Peachtree City, Georgia and enjoys flying, fishing and spending time with his wife Robin of 19 years, their two daughters Sydney and Sumner and their son Burton.
